ANDREW J. GLICK, M.D.
Dr. Glick earned his Bachelor’s degree at Stanford University and completed his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He completed his residency in urologic surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Glick continues to teach by lecturing to different hospitals and organizations on a variety of urologic issues.
Dr. Glick is a Delaware native and a second generation physician. He is one of the founding partners of Brandywine Urology Consultants. He has been in practice for 24 years. He has been rated one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today many times over the years and most recently in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
Dr. Glick resides with his family in his native Delaware. In his spare time he enjoys golf, fishing, and traveling.
BRUCE N. BENGE, M.D.
Dr. Benge earned his under graduate degree at Lehigh University in chemical engineering. He obtained his Medical degree at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his urology specialty training at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. He continued a Fellowship of Urologic Oncology at Roswell Park Memorial Cancer Institute in Buffalo.
Dr. Benge is a Delaware native and a second generation physician. He has been a partner and in practice with Brandywine Urology Consultants for 20 years. He currently serves as the Section Chief of Urologic Surgery for Christiana Care Health Systems. Dr. Benge has been named one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today for 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Dr. Benge enjoys working in his native Delaware. He is married with four children. He enjoys gardening at home, boating and skiing with his family.
MICHAEL R. LOBIS, M.D.
Dr. Lobis earned his degree at Temple University then continued to earn his medical degree from Temple University, School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Urology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Jersey. He has been recognized as one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today for 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Dr. Lobis has been a partner and in practice with Brandywine Urology Consultants for 17 years. He also serves as the President of the Delaware Outpatient Center for Surgery, which professionally and conveniently offers outpatient care to patients from the four state region.
Dr. Lobis is married with two children. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
DAVID J. COZZOLINO, M.D.
Dr. Cozzolino obtained his Bachelor’s degree from University of Rhode Island. He then completed his medical degree at University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. His residency in Urology and General Surgery was obtained at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He obtained a fellowship of Male Reproductive Medicine & Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He has been awarded one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Dr. Cozzolino has been a partner and joined Brandywine Urology Consultants in 2001. He treats patients of all ages, and urological conditions, but specializes in male infertility and vasectomy reversals. He has written many articles in this particular specialty area.
Dr. Cozzolino is an avid runner, enjoys traveling, and the arts.
STEVEN A. TERRANOVA, M.D.
Dr. Terranova graduated from Shenendehowa Central High School in upstate New York in 1988. He attended The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and earned a B.S. in Chemistry in 1992. He obtained an M.A. in Chemistry in 1993 also at The College of William and Mary. Dr. Terranova earned his M.D. at The Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in Richmond, VA in 1997. He stayed at MCV for his residency in Urologic Surgery which was completed in 2002. Dr. Terranova continued his training by completing a fellowship in Laparoscopy (minimally invasive surgery) and Endourology (scope and stone management) at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Dr. Terranova specializes in laparoscopic and robotic management of malignant and benign urologic conditions and in the treatment and prevention of urinary stone disease. He is fellowship trained in urologic laparoscopy and stone management. Dr. Terranova initiated urologic laparoscopy in Delaware. He specializes in laparoscopic kidney removal both for malignant (cancer) and benign conditions and has trained many other urologists in these techniques. As part of the kidney transplant team at Christiana Hospital, he also performs laparoscopic kidney removal for patients who wish to donate their kidneys to others. Dr. Terranova also helped to pioneer the da Vinci robotic surgical program at Christiana Hospital and focuses on prostate removal and removal of small kidney tumors (without removing the entire kidney) with the da Vinci robot. Dr. Terranova was the first physician in Delaware to be fellowship trained in Laparoscopy and Endourology.
He was awarded as one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today in 2010. He has been a partner and in practice with Brandywine Urology Consultants for 11 years.
Dr. Terranova is married and has three children. Besides enjoying spending time with his family, playing baseball and making music with his two bands; Blue Light Special and Open Road.
THOMAS J. DESPERITO, M.D.
Dr. Desperito earned his Bachelor’s degree at the United States Military Academy. After serving as a pilot during Dessert Storm, he obtained his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He was chosen to complete his residency in urology at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. He was named one of the Top Doctors by Delaware Today in 2010 and 2011. He has been in practice for nine years. He specializes in Urinary Incontinence, Female Urology, and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Desperito is the newest addition to our family at BUC.
He was previously appointed to the Board of Directors for St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware and to the Delaware State Medical Board.
Dr. Desperito lives with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, running, lacrosse, and ice hockey.
Nicole J. Johnson, MSN, NP-C
Nicole earned her Bachelors of Science and Nursing from University of Delaware and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University. After graduating from University of Delaware, Nicole became a Registered Nurse and worked at Christiana Health Care System for seven years. She worked on the Medical Step-Down Unit. This is the place where Nicole decided to further her education and become a Nurse Practitioner.
Nicole lives in Delaware and enjoys spending time with her family, running, and is on a kickball league.
Nicola L. Howard
Nicola earned her Bachelors of Management from Rutgers University. She has worked in the specialty of urology for the past ten years as a Practice Administrator and Chief Operating Officer in New Jersey. She strives to ensure all patients receive the most advanced, compassionate, dedicated care from the staff and physicians at Brandywine Urology Consultants. Nicola has involved Brandywine Urology Consultants in organizing the Zero Prostate Cancer Run in Delaware. She works with a non-profit organization Zero, the End of Prostate Cancer to fight this deadly men’s disease as a community member. Nicola currently sits on the Board of Directors for Zero, the End of Prostate Cancer.
Nicola lives in New Jersey and enjoys spending time with her family, hanging by the beach, travelling, and Pilates.
